Social networking sites allow people to build communities online – communities based on shared interests, hobbies or experiences.
Social networking through school websites is a great way for kids to work on projects and chat about stuff that’s going on, but larger social networking sites do not offer the same protection.
Some tips for social networking:
Only accept friend requests from people you know.
Set your profile to private, so only friends can see things like photos and posts.
Be careful what you say – think before you write.

Myspace – 14 years
Facebook – 13 years
