Whether you are writing a research paper, poetry, a children’s book, or the Great American Novel, the Lee County Library System has resources to assist you.  The links on this page can assist you with the writing process, answer your grammatical questions, help you with research, and aid you in polishing your work.

 

There are additional resources available within the libraries. For writers wishing to become published authors The Writer’s Market is available in each location. The most recent is kept as reference material, but earlier editions may be checked out.  Some libraries also offer Novel & Short Story Writer's Market,  Children’s Writer’s & Illustrator’s Market, and Song Writer’s Market. Check the library catalog for locations.

This database is filled with original scripts, skits and monologues, and adaptation of classics.  Users will find  background information for each play and a step-by-step guide to make putting on a play easy and accessible. There are printable programs and posters.  This is a great resource for teachers, charter schools, those involved in home school,  and for all those interested in dramatic arts.

The collection is searchable by keyword, author, title and full text and includes more than 48,000 reference and non-fiction titles on a wide range of subjects.
