Search Option for Internet Explorer and Firefox Browsers for Catalog
Add the library catalog as a search choice for the built-in searchbox in your web browser (Firefox or Internet Explorer). Search terms will pass through to the catalog as Keywords.
Installation for Internet Explorer (7.0 or above):
1. While viewing most library website pages (not the PAC), the dropdown arrow next to the searchbox in the upper right corner of Internet Explorer will glow (usually orange).
2. Click the glowing dropdown arrow.
3. Select "Add Search Providers" > "Search LCLS Catalog"
4. Click "Add Provider" on the popup window
5. The Library Catalog has now been added as a search choice.
Installation for Firefox (2.0 or above):
1. While viewing this page, the dropdown arrow next to the searchbox in the upper right corner of Firefox will glow (usually blue or green).
2. Click the glowing dropdown arrow.
3. Select "Add Search LCLS Catalog"
4. The Library Catalog has now been added as a search choice.
This is a keyword search. It does not have all the capabilities of the LibX search bar add-on, but it is very easy to install and use.
