Books-By-Mail is a fast and convenient service that supplies printed books, audio books, DVDs and music CDs to adults and children who are unable to visit a Lee County Library System location due to temporary or long-term physical and medical disabilities. Caregivers of such ones also qualify for Books-By-Mail service.

The library system's rich collections are as close as a mailbox through Books-By-Mail, which mails materials in zippered, nylon bags to registered users. Patrons may request library materials by phone or mail. Find out how you may qualify for the Books-By-Mail service by calling (239) 533-4444 or (239) 485-1131 (TTY) to request an application. Books-By-Mail is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Long-distance patrons from Boca Grande, Cape Coral, Captiva, Lehigh Acres, North Fort Myers and Pine Island can call 1-800-660-6420 Ext. 5.

 Our patrons say . . .

“The library staff members are friendly and make every effort to provide you with exactly the materials you want.  Over time, they learn your preferences and if you wish, they will make recommendations.  My four year experience with Books-By-Mail has been so positive.”
