East County Regional Library Hosts AR Celebration

FORT MYERS, Fla., March 25, 2008 –  This Thursday and Friday, Lehigh Senior High students can win door prizes, select free magazines, enjoy snacks and celebrate at the East County Regional Library.

We’re very excited to be hosting the school’s quarterly Accelerated Reading celebration,” says Young Adult Librarian Julie Bill.

“The meeting room will be transformed into a coffee shop environment with snacks provided by the Friends of the East County Regional Library and free magazines for each teen to take home,” Bill said.

The celebration is only open to Lehigh Senior High students who have met their AR goals, but Bill expects the library to busy both days. The teens will be arriving in groups of 30 to 50 throughout each school day.

For those who didn’t reach their goals this time, Bill reminds them that the library is a great place to start; they can view AR lists and get recommendations on a wide variety of teen friendly titles.

Reserve items online and learn about free library events at the Lee County Library System website  www.lee-county.com/library, or call Telephone Reference at (239) 479-INFO (4636).
