Northwest Regional Library Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening

Fort Myers, Fla., November 20, 2009 ─ A formal ribbon cutting ceremony for the Northwest Regional Library will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2010, at 519 Chiquita Boulevard North in Cape Coral.  Doors to the new 41,000 square foot facility will open immediately after the ribbon cutting.

 

The public is invited to attend and celebrate the opening of the newest addition to the Lee County Library System.  The celebration continues all day until 5:00 p.m. with library tours and special entertainment and activities for all ages.

 

The Northwest Regional Library is truly a library for the 21st century, both in style and content. The modern, high tech look provides great natural lighting streaming down from the soaring clerestory glass gallery.  An abundance of windows provide inspiring views of natural surroundings.

 

Situated between Mariner Middle and High schools, it is not surprising that the special focus for Northwest Regional Library is education. Consequently, a vast and unique array of educational resources is available for students of all ages, from birth through adult. Creative and educational programs for adults, children, and teens will be part of the regular schedule, supporting the mission of education and life enrichment.
