Programs 

 

By the Numbers
The library offers free programs for all ages. Click on "Programs and Events"  for a full schedule and more information. Statistics have recently been compiled for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2008. Contact Terri Crawford for attendance figures by age group or program type.

 

   

Featured Items

 

 Adult Programs

Libraries offer a wide variety of free events including author presentations, book discussions, business and finance workshops, film discussion series, genealogy seminars and workshops on everything from health to hobbies.

 

Children and Family Programs 

Take part in storytimes, story and craft programs or relax and enjoy professional performances of magic, music and puppet shows.

 

Computer Classes

These include hands-on classes and informative seminars.

 

 Literacy

Adults with basic English skills can practice their spoken English in a relaxed setting. ESOL/ESL students from nearly 40 countries participate in English Café.

 

Multicultural Programs

Several bilingual programs are offered along with programs presented in Spanish and Haitian-Creole. Information in Spanish.

 

Special Events

Celebrate Chocolate and Spirits, PugFest, Southwest Florida Reading Festival and more.

 

Teen Programs

Free programs include anime club, DDR and gaming activities, duct tape crafts, and workshops on finance, job hunting and preparing for college.
