Celebrate National Women's History Month @ Your Library

Throughout March, the nation will consider women in history who have set a precedent for effecting change because of their humane deeds, stirring words or fight for a civil right. There are many books that record the feats of such women, and the legacy of doing so is revisited as the theme for this year's National Women's History Month is "Women's Education — Women's Empowerment." The Lee County Library System invites patrons and visitors to mind travel back into time and read about the lives of various women who have left an indelible mark on America and on other parts of the globe. Systemwide, there are books, electronic resources and programs available to those who'd like to participate in the library's tribute to women in history.
