The Lee County Library System & Volunteers

Together, Serving Our Community

The Lee County Library System recognizes that volunteers, working in conjunction with employed staff, are essential to the productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness of the library system. We encourage individuals to become partners in public service by volunteering within our organization. A volunteer’s contribution to our library system goes far beyond the actual work performed. Our volunteers enhance the services we provide to the public. By working together, we accomplish great things.

 Lend a helping hand!

Volunteer and Change Lives

The library system has embarked on a grant project to make a difference in the lives of older adults in our community. The Community Conversations Project trains volunteers to provide library programs for older adults in assisted living facilities, adult daycare programs, and at congregate meal sites. The project exposes elders to stimulating ideas and thoughtful discussion. We are looking for adult volunteers of all ages. Click here for more information.
